In 1995, the American Society of Civil Engineers compiled a list of outstanding buildings. The focus was less on records than on special masterpieces by civil engineers from all over the world.
The following buildings ended up on this list:
- CN Tower in Toronto
- Delta and Zuiderzee Works in the Netherlands
- Empire State Building
- Channel Tunnel
- Golden Gate Bridge
- Itaipú Dam
- Panama Canal
